Built on a low stretch mono-filament core the Ridge Clear Tropical has a coating optimized to perform at higher temperatures. Ridges significantly improve shoot ability without excess line noise in the guides and significantly reduce tangles on the deck. When wet the Ridges disappear in the water for an incredible low optical density, making the line virtually invisible to your target species. Airflo Skagit Switch Line
The need had become blatantly obvious, a shorter head to match the now extremely popular Switch rods. But the “right” line to match these versatile tools had been unavailable, until now. The new Skagit Switch line hits the mark dead on. Shorter in length then our Skagit Compact, this new addition to the Skagit group of lines vary from 18’ to 20’ with 7 sizes ranging from 360 to 540 grains. Designed to load fast action switch rods in tight casting situation, move 10’ to 12’ of sink tip, and reach out to hit the “zone”. Originally developed for the powerful rivers of the Pacific North West, Airflo’s Skagit lines take their name from the river where the technique was born. Skagit lines differ from other two hand shooting heads in the fact that they are designed to deliver heavy duty sink tips with a unique casting style that works well even when the undergrowth is upon you and limits any back cast to zero. A full selection of heads is available in 30 grain increments from 480 to 720 grains, just match one up to your favourite Ridge Running line and an appropriate Custom Cut Tip to find the perfect balance for your rod.
